***Please Note: Existing Skaters will have PRIORITY REGISTRATION***

  • 1st PRIORITY - Summer 2025 Skaters - 3+ weeks

  • 2nd PRIORITY - Summer Skaters less than 3 weeks + Spring 2025 Skaters

  • Then NEW CanSkaters - August 15th @ 9:00AM - IF spaces remain

  • As a result there may be FEW spots remaining in CanSkate & they typically fill within minutes

Any level higher than CanSkate requires skaters to already be skating at this level or to have an Assessment

(Assessments will be offered the week of August 18th, Tues-Fri @ 8AM - but MUST be scheduled via email)

PLEASE provide detailed skating experience at a Skate Canada Club and/or which STARSkate level your skater was previously working on via email to; info@wrsssc.com Please include skater’s age.

  • NEW STAR Academy/STAR Rec Figure Skating or STARSkaters may register as of:

    • August 22nd @ 9:00 - IF spaces remain

If you have skated with us in Summer or Spring you will have received a copy of the schedule with the

PRIORITY REGISTRATION DATES via email. If you have not received an email, the schedule isn’t ready yet.

What is a Program Assistant (PA)?

PA’s Assist our Skate Canada Coaches in delivering our CanSkate Program by assisting with set up and clean up, helping skaters on and off the ice, demonstrating, supervising & reinforcing learned skills as well as being a role model for young skaters.

Our Program Assistant (PA) Program is open to STARSkaters aged 10 and up in STAR 2 and above, who have been INVITED by the Director of our CanSkate Program, Caroline MacKeen.

If you already know that you would like to help - you can sign up to become a Program Assistant - when you are registering for your Fall-Winter Season.

Ideally looking for 5- PA’s per CanSkate session with a committment of Sept to March

  • Tues 5:45-6:30pm - Sept to Mar @ Centennial Arena

  • Tues 6:30-7:15pm - Sept to Mar @ Centennial Arena

  • Thurs 5:45-6:30pm - Sept to Mar @ Centennial Arena

  • Thurs 6:30-7:15pm - Sept to Mar @ Centennial Arena

Final approval of PA’s will be at discretion of our CanSkate Director; Caroline MacKeen
