Summer 2017 Registration Information

Summer registration will open in June 2017.

Registration can be done in any of the following ways:

1) In person.
WRSSSC Office: 1544 Foster Street, White Rock, BC ~ Mon, Wed, Thurs 9:30am-12:30pm. ***Recommended

2) By Phone:

Phone registrations must be paid over the phone in full by Visa or MC.

3) By Mail:

Summer 2017 Additional Fees

The following may be added to your Summer 2017 registration:

$35.65 Skate Canada Fee only added if you did not register in the Fall or Spring.
This fee covers the insurance from Skate Canada for each member, while skating in club programs. Valid from September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017.

$25.00 Administration Fee.
This fee applies to any registrations, or registration changes, made after the start of the Summer 2017 session.

Summer 2017 Lessons

This information is for StarSkate programs only.

The Summer season schedule (to be posted soon) Season Schedule lists the amount of group lesson time included with each StarSkate session. Starskate skaters will benefit from 1 - 2 private lessons per week (depending on skating level). This lesson time is necessary for individual attention on jumps, spins and the skaters programs. Competitive skaters should consider 3+ private lessons per week.

Lessons are sold on a seasonal basis but can be paid for monthly.

All Summer StarSkate packages include 1 private lesson within the weekly cost. Additional private lessons are encouraged and can be added at the rates below, at the time of registration.

1 X 10 min. private lesson is $9.85 per week.
1 X 15 min. private lesson is $14.75 per week.

WRSSSC accepts Visa, Mastercard, Cheques and Cash.

For Registrations over $650.00:
Members registering prior to June 15th have the additional option of:
2 equal payments using post dated cheques.
1st payment due at time of registration
2nd payment dated June 30th 2017

StarSkate: Junior / Senior / Star 1

More lesson time (than previous years) is included in the price of the StarSkate sessions. Skaters are recommended to add 1 - 2 additional private/semi private lessons each week to focus on their own individual needs. Competitive skaters are recommended to add a minimum of 3+ additional lessons per week.

Learn to Skate - CanSkate / PreCanSkate

All lesson costs are included in the price of the program.

CSA approved helmets are mandatory until the skater has passed Stage 5. Must have own skates (figure or hockey).

StarSkate Open (Previously called Star 1)

Star 1 is our only 2 day per week StarSkate program. This program is for skaters 10 years and older, or skaters who have passed all the CanSkate levels and would like to continue to learn to figure skate at a slower paced recreational level than the Junior Development program.

Summer 2017 registration will open in June 2017.

Star Academy- LEARN TO FIGURE SKATE Information

Skaters must be 9 years of age or younger to be eligible, registration is limited, and skaters must be assessed and approved prior to their participation in the program.

Summer 2017 registration will open in June 2017.

CanPowerSkate Registration Information

CanPowerSkate is geared to hockey and ringette players who can already skate, and who wish to improve their balance, power, agility, speed and endurance skills. Strong skating skills and good physical conditioning are provided through participation in this program. Skaters must have basic forward, backward and stopping skating skills, and should be registered in or entering into a hockey/ringette program. Advanced and Beginner classes are offered. Full hockey/ringette gear is required.

Unfortunately, we will not be offering CanPowerSkate in the Summer 2017 season.
